It’s been a long hot summer in Sydney and now we can feel the, early morning chill in the air – autumn is coming!
I was in a lovely café in Dubbo on the weekend – Lavish, excellent service, great food – and spotted this gorgeous dark brown wicker chair and orange cushion. It made the café feel warm and inviting, happy to sit and have a chat. Using autumn colours as accessories in your home is an easy way to bring in some warmth.
A run down on orange –
Removes fears, brings joy, happiness, warming, encourages connection to the emotions, brings a social atmosphere and communication within the family – it brings a positive and encouraging energy to a room.
Creating a beautifully warm atmosphere can be as simple as adding a vase, flowers, cushions, throw rug, a lamp or a rug.
Feeling chilly? Try wearing a scarf in a tone of red, warm yellow or orange, when you look at the colour, it will make you feel warm. Remember the old bar heaters and log fires? And the log fire apps? That’s the reason why people love them, looking at warm colours will give you a warm feeling.
Remember too much of one colour can be overwhelming and I like to stick to just adding splashes of colour which can easily be changed with the seasons or as my mood changes.
