What colours are best for study and concentration?

Posted on 24/08/202324/08/2023

In Australia we are in the midst of the HSC – the final exams to finish off high school before going to college or university for further study. Students have finished their trial exams, and the actual HSC will start in October.

So what are the best colours to help with study and concentration?

These are 3 top colours to help.

Blue

Blue is a cool colour making it calming, and can slow the heart rate down giving a deep feeling of relaxation to the body, and to a place to study. It can help to keep ideas flowing. Light blues help concentration, while deeper blues assist thought processes.

Orange

Full of warmth, orange encourages creativitiy, concentration and focus. Also encourages motivation to study, and to keep study notes and your study area organised. Orange has a beautiful energy, although too much orange can be distracting. Best used as an accent colour.

Green

Green is the colour of nature, of forests, healing and refreshing the mind and body. It is restful and calming relieving stress and tension giving way to a better and more positive train of thoughts.

For the maximum benefit while studying, add blue, green and orange to your study area. Maybe a beautiful image on the wall, vase of flowers, pencil holder, have your study area look out at green gardens if you can, or add pot plants.

Taking a break and walking in nature is so beneficial – the calming blue skies, moving your body, seeing green trees and colourful flowers and plants will refresh your mind and body ready to tackle the next round of study.

Good luck to every studying, and include some blue, green and orange to help you achieve your best.
